About Sanette Smit
Sanette Smit (Smitti), a 7th Dan Black Belt in karate and the highest graded woman in Karate in Africa, not to mention one of the highest graded women in the world, has been involved in the field of karate / self-defence for over 30 years.
Smitti's grave concern regarding rape, personal safety and welfare, plus her incredibly strong "defence" background, has led to the inevitable -- the creation of a fully-comprehensive and totally unique rape prevention and self-defence program which she runs on a regular basis.
The courses and workshops she offers are tailored to suit the specific needs and requirements of the particular groups attending. In this way, a diverse number of people and organisations can benefit in very specific ways.
Most courses cater for the 'average' person, therefore no particular skills are necessary to participate in the program -- people of all shapes, sizes and varying physical abilities can learn to apply these self-defence techniques effectively. Furthermore, Smitti covers both aspects of self-defence (psychological & physical), believing firmly that the one is not effective without the other.
Check out the workshops page for more information on the courses offered.
